Welcome!
Caty McGill is a writer of speculative fiction inspired by Celtic folklore. Formerly a resident of Nashville, she has worked as an Associate Producer on numerous entertainment-news television programs. After returning to Florida, she served as a feature writer for "Sunny Scope" (outdoor sports website) and "Aqua Views" (scuba and watersports website). Her short story "Warren's Box" was featured in "Phoenix" literary journal.
The Backstory
Caty McGill has been putting pen to paper since elementary school. Her first foray into writing original fiction was born of boredom. Having grown tired of their usual summer games, she and her friends decided to write their own plays to act out for the other neighborhood kids. Watching her words come to life on their improvised stage (a backyard picnic table) awoke a love of writing in Caty that has never diminished.

Writing fiction later gave way to pursuing a career in journalism. Caty attended college to study broadcasting and television production. She moved to Nashville, where she worked as a researcher and writer for such television programs as TNN Country News, This Week In Country Music, Today's Country and Crook and Chase.

Caty currently lives in Central Florida with a diva cat, a growing collection of vintage typewriters, and a large "to be read" pile.
